We have an extensive list of nursing home services in the Vault.
(Feel free to use them for yourself.)
I am a preacher’s kid, grew up in the church. My dad pastored for 40 years. I had worked in the church all my life. I remember many ministers coming to our home and speaking at the church, but in all those years I had never heard of anyone in full-time nursing home ministry. I was looking for a job, but God was placing in my heart a Call to full-time Nursing Home Ministry.
(The Lord was answering a prayer I had prayed a couple of years before. During a time of prayer, I had rededicated my life to the Lord and wanted to be used more than ever before. I said, “Lord, put me in situations and circumstances where I can be used the most”. I felt that I should be doing more than I was. I said, “Lord, put me on the fast track. Let’s build Your kingdom. Let’s strengthen the saved and save the lost. Tell me what to do and I’ll do it”. I had forgotten about that prayer.)
This book is not just about the nursing home ministry but also about following God, no matter what He calls you to do.
Bette handed me a large decorated box and with a giggle said, “Here, Mom, let the party begin!” We were celebrating my ninetieth birthday. I was seated on the love seat with Art and surrounded by our children – Bette and her husband, Doug; Paul and his wife, Ann; and Joel. (His wife, Jackie, was at Nelson’s farm in Litchfield selling crafts at their Fall Festival.) We were all in a good mood. We had had our dinner at Trumble’s and were ready for this party at Bette’s. I picked up this large but light box and opened it with care. Inside was another decorated box – I opened that – and again there was another decorated box. This went on for about five or six times and, of course, everyone was laughing at my perplexity. Finally I came to a very small box. When I opened it I couldn’t believe my eyes – there was a bundle of money – NINETY NEW ONE DOLLAR BILLS! One for each year of my life! Several years ago Paul had asked me to write a story of my life. Now I thought that I could relive my life by using the title, NINETY NEW ONE DOLLAR BILLS, and relate my life stories through those ninety years.
This book is my mother's biogaphy. At this printing she is 95 years old and going strong. Her story will inspire and encourage you. The last line in her book says it all.
"I find new truth, comfort, and direction each day as I read the scripture. Life goes on, and life with Jesus is good! Amen."
This book answers the questions; What is redemption? What have we been redeemed from? What have we been redeemed to? And how Jesus cursing the fig tree can help us walk out our redemptive life. A must read to understand what we've been redeemed from and what we've been redeemed to.
In Him Realities
A series of books helping us to understand; who we are, what we have and what we can do in Christ.
The Bible says Satan is the god of this world. It's Satan, who steals, kills, and destroys. It also says that as Christians, we have been given authority over him. That is part of the battle, right there – to understand and keep that straight in our minds. God is the answer, not the problem. I was reminded of a book I'd started writing, but not finished titled “Why Did Jesus Come?” Jesus came to get our thinking straight, to get our thinking right. To be very clear that God is good and Satan is evil. This is that book!
We live in a world that blames God when things go wrong. We hear that God is in control. So, no matter what happens, it's because of God. That's wrong thinking.
Back in the 80’s I remember reading Matthew 12:40. It was during the Easter season. Matt 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. I had read that verse before, but this time I realized it didn't make any sense considering how we celebrated Easter. (Good Friday to Easter Sunday is not three days and three nights.) This put me on a quest to find out what scripture had to say about the events during Easter week. The results were amazing. Jesus truly is the lamb of God.
Did you ever question the events of Easter week? The three days and three nights never seemed to fit for me. This book gives the results of my amazing thirty year quest for the answers. Jesus truly is the Lamb of God!
For years I have wanted a 'go to' book of Biblical promises. This book is it. It has the promises in topic/category order. I've titled this book 'His Promises ~ My Faith'. Jesus said, "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you." With this book you can speak with your mouth and believe in your heart the promises of God.

This is an updated version of my book with the same title. This version also includes a chapter called Heart Fit; spirit, soul and body. This answered another piece of life's puzzle for me. I am so excited about it, I wanted to share it with you.
People have asked me, "How do you stay so happy? I always see you smiling." First of all, people who ask that question are not with me 24 hours a day. I do not have a permanent smile on my face. I have challenges in life just like everyone else. However, I do believe I have a very positive outlook on life. If I know that God has called me to do something, I will not quit until it's completed. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil. 4:13 "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Rom. 2:14 NLT This book shares some of the key events in my life and how I developed a "can do" attitude. My prayer is that you will: 1.Realize God is no respecter of persons. 2.Catch His vision for your life.
This prayer book is the result of my prayer time over the past several years. These are prayers that I pray for my family, friends, partners and the nations. There are also many verses dealing with the favor of God, health, and prosperity. You'll want to keep this with your Bible as your "go to" prayer book.
How many times have you heard someone ask for prayer because they did not have confidence in their own prayer. They were not sure their prayer would work. This book will help you realize the potential in prayer and give you the knowledge to know how to pray. For Pastors, this book is designed to bring your church to a higher level in prayer, develop prayer strategies for your church, become part of the end-time harvest and be a light in the darkness.
Doris (Lindberg) DeNeui was born in 1917. That was 100 years ago. Since then she has been a Pastors wife, Mother of 3, Pianist, Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Woman’s Rally Song Leader, an Avon Lady and now retired, she reflects on her life and writes books. After her 90th birthday she wrote her first book titled “Ninety One Dollar Bills”. It is the story of her life. At her 100th birthday she said, “Don’t expect another book”. But, here it is, her second book, “Miss Mahoolala - a coloring book”. Doris says, “When I was a little girl my mother called me Miss Mahoolala. She would dress me in pink frilly dresses and patent leather shoes.”
Doris’ nephew, Dean E. Lindberg, heard the stories and captured Miss Mahoolala in some cartoon drawings several years ago. This coloring book contains those drawings. Doris grew up in a 2 story house in Duluth Minnesota. The old radiators, the antique tables, the fireplace with its large mirror, the open stairway, the plug-in floor lamps, and the overstuffed furniture are all captured in these drawings. Doris says Miss Mahoolala lives on in her daughter and granddaughters. Perhaps you see her in your family too. Enjoy reminiscing as you color these pages.
